NFC Smart Piece

1/2

Embedded inside this piece is a programmable NFC smart tag. This means that using your NFC enabled device and the right app, you can program this piece to do specific tasks. It may already be programmed to bring up this webpage.

Your Smart Piece

Let your device interact with your environment, program your smart piece to send functions and tasks to your phone or device. You could for example program this piece to tell your phone to to do something when your phone comes in contact with it. Tasks like: switch on silent mode, turn on your alarm, play music, or a combination of all of these.

How to use your Smart Piece

First you have to make sure your device is NFC enabled, another name for this function is "Bump" or "Contactless" if your phone can "Bump" or has "Contactless" features, then it's probably NFC enabled.

Check here to see NFC Compatible Phones.

You must also have the right apps. There are many NFC apps available to use, but the ones I would recommend are:

NFC Tools

NFC Tools is an app which allows you to read, write and program tasks on your NFC tags and other RFID compatible chips. All you need to do is get your device close to an NFC chip to read the data on it or execute tasks.

Simple and intuitive, NFC Tools can record standard information on your tags which will be compatible with any NFC device.

Trigger

Bored of putting your phone on silent every time you get into the office? Tired of turning off Bluetooth to conserve battery every time juice gets low?

This app interacts with your surroundings to configure settings on your phone automatically. Combine triggers and actions to create tasks, then activate the tasks that you create with conditions that you set!

GotToTags

This is not your typical technical NFC app. The GoToTags Android App is designed to make the Internet of Things easy to use. It sits behind the scenes making the user experience of reading NFC tags and scanning barcodes simple and natural.

No overly complicated technical jargon or data here. When you interact with a tag the app will perform the actions you expect it to. You can configure it just the way you want it.
